A Letter to You!

Dear Artists’,

You are probably wondering what The Banzerini House is... WELL, let me tell you! About fall of 2007 I decided I wanted to direct a play. I just got done reading my favorite play by the ever so funny Neil Simon’s Laughter on the 23rd floor and I knew that this was the play I wanted to direct first. I found 8 actors (7 Male, 1 Female). Most of them attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Hollywood, CA. The other few were working actors from AMC’s Mad Men. When I told them my idea about this play they were all so for it! We spent our first show rehearsing every weekend for long hours in my apartment. It literally took everything out of the kitchen and living room and stuffed it into my bedroom. My bedroom became my home, and my living room became my theatre. It did however DRIVE THE NEIGHBORS INSANE!!! We spent our nights building the set in our friend’s backyard and spent the late hours of the night in the auditorium building and knocking together those walls! We worked together and put on amazing performances where we SOLD OUT in Hollywood!!! (I apologize to those who got turned away…) The Theatre wanted us to perform an extra week through popular demand! The Banzerini House assembled a deep strong foundation of truthful people with truthful goals. For “Laughter on the 23rd Floor” was a major success. Founded on so much unconditional love, creativity, positivity, and vitality which made it that much more incredible, spontaneous, and of course the humor that helped as well!

Through this I created The Banzerini House. The Banzerini House is simply a place where artist can grow and have the opportunity to create life! We want to be able to do all of our own plays, films, concerts, photography anything that has to do with art under one big roof! Art is an expression within itself, and one artist must know how to be truthful under any given circumstance in life. We want to show our artist not only a way of being in their work and craft but also everyday in their life. “All great Art starts with you, and who you are.” –Sanford Meisner.
